What is SavingStar and Upromise?

SavingStar and Upromise are digital coupons that accumulate in an account for you. After you accumulate enough of a balance, you can request your funds. 

SavingStar allows you the option of a bank account deposit, PayPal payment, Amazon gift card or making a donation to American Forests. You must have a minimum of $5 in your account to request payments.

Upromise allows you the option of paying it on an existing student loan if it's with Sallie Mae, saving it in an account with Sallie Mae to earn interest for the future, saving it in other college savings plans, or you can request a check but you have to have a minimum of $10 in the account.

How does this work?

First you go to the web sites and set yourself up an account. 

Then you will register your store savings cards. Make sure to register all the different stores you have that apply.

Next you click on them and add them to your store savings card. 

When you scan your card at the store, credit for the coupon goes to your account.

Upromise also offers other ways you can earn credit like registering debit cards and making online purchases.

Some of the digital coupons are available at only SavingStar.

Some of the digital coupons are available at only Upromise.

Some of the digital coupons are available at both SavingStar and Upromise but can only be redeemed at one of the two sites. You can not redeem the same offer at both sites.

For this reason we will not list those offers at both sites. If you see an offer listed at SavingStar and you prefer to use Upromise, you can simply go straight to Upromise and click the offer on that site.

Because you don't get your savings until you accumulate it later, we are not figuring the values in the savings of the products. You will just see a link that you can click on to activate your coupon. So this means this will be a bonus amount you will save over and above the listed savings on the Enlightened Shopping lists.
