Each month we have people that sign up for SavingsAngel but they don't indicate they were referred by anyone. We know through experience that when people sign up with a friend as their referral, they have a higher rate of success at SavingsAngel. This got us to thinking about how to better help our 'orphan' members succeed by connecting them with a veteran angel who can help show them the ropes and become savers for life!

The Angel Adoption Program

There are two ways orphans are adopted.

1 - Via the Angel Mall, you can Adopt a member for 5,000 angel bucks. 5.000 angel bucks = $5 rebate! Go to the Angel Mall and purchase an orphan by clicking on Angel Bucks in the Angel Community. Every 4 weeks your adopted member renews, you receive a $5 rebate! Earn more Angel Bucks by posting and participating in the Angel Community.

Here are just some of the ways to earn points:

Points for Posts: 2

Points for Posts (Own Threads): 1

Points for Threads: 5

Points for Thread Ratings Given: 0.5

Points for Ratings Received: 0.5

Points for Visitor Messages (given): 1

Points for Visitor Messages (received): 1

Points for Polls Posted: 5

Points for Poll Votes: 2

Points for Confirmed Friends: 5

Points for Reputation (given): 0.25

Points for Reputation (received): 0.25

Points for Day Registered: 0.1 added each day

2 - We are randomly assigning members each month to veteran angels. These are members who didn't hear about SavingsAngel from any one place in particular - but want to save money with SavingsAngel. They can use a little help - and we think that veteran angels are just the people to give them a hand.

As a reward for adopting, we'll give you $5 each month you both renew for the LIFE of the membership.

The criteria to adopt is simple – 
1. Just stay active for more than one year 
2. Use Enlightened Shopping at least once a month. 

The longer your adopted angel stays a member, the more you'll earn so we encourage you to reach out via SA Community PM to welcome them. (No personal information needs to be exchanged).

You can offer to answer questions and guide them along where needed and invite them to participate in our SavingsAngel community.

Continue to check on them every so often to see how their savings are going.

We do have many veteran angels - so it may take some time before you are randomly selected.
