Every member of SavingsAngel is automatically an 'affiliate', with the ability to earn for referring others. There is no additional cost to be an 'affiliate'. Simply begin sharing with others about SavingsAngel. When they sign up, referencing your member number, you earn!
We do offer opportunities to organizations, such as churches, social groups, non-profits and more. These accounts are set up slightly differently. If your organization is interested, please email our Chief Marketing Angel, Stan at stan@savingsangel.com.
What you can earn...
When you refer someone, you earn based upon the membership they choose.
For example, if your new referral chooses the $20 for 8 weeks option, you get $10, payable via PayPal. After your referral's first 8 weeks, you will continue to earn $5 every month you both maintain a paid membership!
Or, if your new referral chooses the $10 for 4 weeks option, you get $5 payable via PayPal. After your referral's first 4 weeks, you will continue to earn $5 every month you both maintain a paid membership.
On $5 for 2 week memberships, there is no initial referral earned. But once your referral continues a paid SavingsAngel membership, you will earn $5 for every month you both maintain a paid membership!
Just 4 people earns you enough to make your membership FREE - month after month! There is NO limit to how many people you can refer.
How you get paid:
All referrals are paid once a month, via PayPal. You are sent the amount due within the first few days of the month. The payment covers the calendar month, two months prior. We know this sounds long - but it's not really.
Here is an example:
Referrals earned in February would be paid out at the beginning of April; those earned in March, the beginning of May; and so forth.
We are sometimes asked, "Why the long wait?" The answer is two-fold.
Member commissions are all paid the same day, through PayPal. So we compile the full total for each member, for each full month. Plus, we offer our money back guarantee. We need to allow time for new members to save big, before paying a commission on any new accounts.
Your PayPal account:
If you already have an active PayPal account, be sure you have given us the correct email. Check or update it here. If you do not provide us with your PayPal, we will automatically send any earned commissions via the email you provided on your SavingsAngel account.
Don't have a PayPal account?
If you do not have a PayPal account, your money will automatically be held in PayPal, under the email address you've given us on your SavingsAngel account. When we pay you, you will receive notification from PayPal that includes instructions on completing your PayPal account. Once your account with PayPal is set up and active, you will be able to retrieve your commission from PayPal.
If you've already referred someone, no need to wait. Go to www.paypal.com and set up your account. It's free, easy and safe. Then give us the email address you used and you'll be set to start receiving commission payouts to your new PayPal account!

Other questions you may have:
(1) Why was I charged the full amount, when I have a referral?
Your personal membership payment and your commission are two separate transactions. You will still continue to pay your regular membership amount - your commission do not come directly off your membership. See above for details on how you get paid.
(2) I have a referral, but I've not received anything. Why?
There are a few possibilities:
First, it might not have been long enough yet. See the above article for payment time frames.
Second, it's possible that we do not have the correct PayPal address for you. Please check it here. If we do have the correct PayPal, please log into your PayPal account and review your account history.
Third, if the referral was a few months back, the money may have been returned to us by PayPal. If sent money remains 'unclaimed' (meaning the email it was sent to is not an active PayPal account) for more than 30 days, PayPal returns it to the sender. Contact us at the HelpDesk to request personal assistance if you believe this may be the case.
