Using the SavingsAngel Community = More Value

Please feel free to browse our extensive Community section. We welcome you to contribute as well. Here is how you can do that: 

Posting a New Thread: To post a new thread, first locate the appropriate forum. For example: You are having issues printing. So you will click on Enlightened Shopping Questions and Answers. Once you locate the forum and sub-thread you need, click on the title (in blue). A new screen opens displaying all the threads currently posted in that forum. To post a new thread (topic of discussion), look in the upper left corner for the "New Thread" button. Simply click this button and an email-like screen opens. Then enter your subject title and message. Click the "Submit New Thread" button.

Replying to an Ongoing Thread: To add (reply) to an ongoing thread, simply click the "Post Reply" button located underneath the last post. Type your message and click the "Submit Reply" button. Please keep your reply posts pertinent to the thread. It gets confusing to read a reply within a baby food discussion about a great clearance deal on footballs.

Searching for a Thread:  To search for information about a specific top for example organizing coupons. Look at the top of your screen. Click on "search". Now, just type in "organizing coupons" and many posts will show up on how different angels organize their coupons. 

Bonus Tips:

• Be very specific in your subject title. A descriptive title yields faster and more accurate responses.
• Never post your personal information, such as address and phone numbers.
• Search the appropriate sub-threads prior to posting. Your topic and/or question may already be addressed in an ongoing thread.
• Posting in the wrong forum may delay response time. But don't fret, as there is a saving grace. If you do post in the wrong section, the Angels working on the other end will put it in the right place for you. We would rather have you post somewhere than not at all!

News & Announcements: Only have a few minutes? Make sure to check here if you see if there are new posts. SavingsAngel guides will watch out for the most important information shared in our online community and post it here. Occasionally SavingsAngel hosts a contest open to all active members. Free memberships and other great prizes can be won, so be on the lookout. You won't want to miss these opportunities!

SavingsAngel.com Site Forum: Whether a new or seasoned member of SavingsAngel, this forum is useful for answering specific questions regarding the site. Topics include: official announcements, The "Getting Started Guide", site enhancements and upgrade information, and more. Questions and answers by other members are often technical in nature, such as coupon printing, Internet browser questions, or shopping list how to's. In reading posts and replies, you'll discover so many "new" things about the site!

HelpDesk: Available to assist with any membership questions, the HelpDesk houses both Knowledgebase articles and personalized help. You can search the article database 24/7 for common questions and answers. If you can't locate your answer in Knowledgebase, personal assistance is available by submitting a question or using LiveChat. All questions are confidential and go directly to staff. Someone will respond within 24 hours. Be sure to read the instructions on the HelpDesk front page to help ensure success when using the HelpDesk. There's a direct link in the SavingsAngel.com Forum or any "Contact Us" link takes you there as well.

Freebies and Internet Deals: The Internet is full of freebies, you just have to know where to look. Luckily, you don't have to look far! In this forum, members post their most recent Internet finds with the links and/or information. There are separate threads for printable coupons, free samples, free products, rebate forms, prescription medication coupons, magazine offers, great deals for online stores and a large compilation of "free on your birthday" opportunities and locations.

Catalina Reference and Discussion: Catalina coupons can be money makers and these threads outline them. Catalinas are the coupons that print at the register when you check out. Variations include: money off your next shopping order, special manufacturer coupons or advertisements. Specific to store chains, Catalinas may or may not be advertised in the weekly store fliers. And specific item(s) must be purchased to trigger the Catalina to print. 

Topics/threads under the An Enlightened Lifestyle forum include: food storage tips, recipe exchanges, saving success stories, giving and receiving (our "Angels only" version of a Craig's List), and more.

SavingsAngel Buy, Sell, Give, Receive: If you desire to buy or sell a particular item, this sub-forum is the place. From selling to giving, buying to bartering, post your intentions in this Craig's List-style forum. Also, if you own a business, this is the location to advertise it. 

Coupon Exchange: Here, make posts to trade coupons or give them away. Most of the exchanges are made via a SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) sent to the other party. If you have an abundance of coupons you won't use, what are you waiting for? Make a post today to trade and turn those unused coupons into ones for your favorite products! Or bless another new Angel who needs coupons to get underway. (Please Note: Selling of coupons on SavingsAngel is prohibited; not to mention illegal.)

Off Topic and Inspirational: In this sub-forum, you discover links to prayer requests, inspirational stories of hope, and even random thoughts and amusing anecdotes. The topics you may post are endless, left to your imagination and desire to share. The next time you feel the need to tell about something impacting your life, post here and experience the abundance of caring from other Angels. (We only request that topics remain family-friendly and free of crude language, damaging statements, degrading conversations/observations, and the like.)

Enlightened Recipe Exchange: Wondering what to make for dinner tonight? Post a question, or skim existing posts, for new recipes or enhancements to your old favorites. There are also posts highlighting meal planning set around current/recent sales. The inspiration available yields delicious value! 

Stores (Discussion and Deal Sharing): The Stores Forum is highly trafficked as unadvertised deals, clearances and bargains are plenty. Each store has its own sub-forum for members to post specifically where a deal is occurring. As there simply is not enough time in our days to shop at every store, this thread is invaluable! Members who discover a great deal while shopping post it here. (Note: When posting be sure to thoroughly explain your find, so others can get a great deal too.)
